PURPOSE:To control stop of a drive motor properly in accordance with circumstances by controlling and stopping the motor for driving an image forming device following a control instruction in reply to detection of trouble between devices in a mode different from an ordinary case. CONSTITUTION:When the detection output of a sensor for detecting separation of a transfer paper is not produced even after a predetermined number of clock counts, it is judged that trouble of jam etc. occurs and the prescribed address of a built-in ROM is connected through CPU. The readout output of the ROM selectively controls power transistors TR1-TR6 to DC excite a motor 118 for driving an image forming photosensitive drum and stop it in a rapid mode other than an ordinary mild mode. An image forming device is enhanced in efficiency of copying action and life by the proper stop control of the drive motor in accordance with circumstances. |
