In a known manner, this ankle support is formed by a stockinet or any other elastic material comprising, on both sides of a central part 2a capable of wrapping the heel and the instep, tubular parts 2b-2c capable of wrapping the bottom of the leg and part of the foot. According to the invention, it comprises, on the outer face of its part capable of covering the lateral malleolus, fastening means 3 for complementary fastening means 4a-4b-4c arranged at the ends of three extendable straps 5 which, forming on the lateral malleolus a T-shape corresponding substantially to the arrangement of the ligaments of the latter, are fixed by their other end 5a-5b-5c on the outer face of the part of the ankle support capable of covering the medial malleolus. <IMAGE>
