PURPOSE:To delete a defective memory loop and to ensure the normal actuation of a memory by writing previously the operating state of a memory loop to a memory for state of memory loop. CONSTITUTION:A minor record loop contains two defects 102, and the nondefective and defective states are written into a PROM103 in the form 1 and 0 respectively. A counter 104 of 3 bits scans successively the PROM103 in response to the synchronizing pulse given from a rotary magnetic field generating circuit 105. The input information 106 of 6 bits supplied to a register 107 is shifted in response to the output 108 of the PROM103 and then written to a major loop 111 via a generator driving circuit 109 and a generator 110. When the head information reaches #1 of a gate 112, a gate control circuit 13 operates. Then the information is shifted and stored in No.1-3, 5, 7 and 8 memory loops of a minor loop respectively. Thus defective loops No.4 and No.6 are excluded. |
