Cyclopropyl substituted polyenes of the formula …<CHEM>… wherein… R and R min are independently hydrogen atoms or lower alkyl groups;… R sec is a hydroxy or lower alkoxy group or a group -NHR''' wherein R''' is a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group;… and the pharmaceutically acceptable salts, formed with cations, of those compounds of formula I wherein R sec is a hydroxy group;… wherein "lower alkyl" and "lower alkoxy" mean straight and branched chain alkyl and alkoxy groups that contain from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, are useful in the treatment of dermatoses. Compositions containing them and processes for their preparation are also disclosed. |
