In this improved process a layer of cuprous sulphide is formed on the cadmium sulphide layer by ion exchange and, to promote the stoichiometry of the cuprous sulphide formed, a cathodic potential is applied to the CdS layer immersed in a solution containing cuprous ions. The process makes it possible to obtain under advantageous conditions photocells exhibiting good characteristics. <IMAGE> |
