COSMETIC PRODUCTS BASED ON QUATERNARY CHITOSAN DERIVATIVES, NEW QUATERNARY CHITOSAN DERIVATIVES, AND PRODUCTION PROCESS THEREOF

Cosmetic products for the treatment of the hair or the skin, characterized by a certain content of new quaternary chitosan derivatives having the formula (M is from 0 to 0.5; n is from 0 to 6; q is from 0.005 to 3.0; p is from 10 to 50000; R<1> is acetyl; R<2> is -CH2CH(OH)-CH2-O- , -CH2-CH(CH2OH)-O- or -CH(CH2OH)-CH2-O-; R<3> is (I) or (II); R<4> is an alkyl comprising between 1 and 4 atoms of carbon; X is Cl, Br, J or CH3SO4). New quaternary chitosan derivatives as well as their production process are disclosed. Said chitosan derivatives have a good substantivity, particularly towards the capillary keratin, and exhibit hair reinforcing and conditioning properties.
