PURPOSE:To perfectly eliminate printing inferiority generated in reopening the continuous printing of a can after the interruption thereof, by providing a pre- printing apparatus for printing a sheet such as paper in either case of the excess or the shortage of ink until the ink amount supplied to a blanket becomes proper. CONSTITUTION:A pre-printing apparatus 20 has a press roll 22 constituted so as to be capable of pressing a strip like sheet material 21 constituted of paper to a blanket 7, a feed-out reel 23 for feeding out the sheet material 21, a wind-up reel 24, a roll support member 25 for supporting the press roll 22 in a freely rotatable manner, a table apparatus 27 for mounting said support member 25 in a movable manner through a slide base 26 and a moving cylinder 27 mounted to said table apparatus 27 and connecting the support member 25 at the upper end thereof to move the same. Until an ink amount supplied to the blanket 7 comes to a normal amount, printing is repeated to the sheet material 21 and, thereafter, the sheet material 21 is separated from the blanket 7 while the printing of a can 10 is simultaneously resumed. |
