METHOD OF DIAGNOSING VIBRATION OF ROTARY MACHINE

In a rotary machine mounted on a rotary shaft that is journaled bearing, a source of unusual vibration in the rotary machine is identified based on the results of the following steps. (1) A shaft vibration signal is subjected to a frequency analysis to analyze its frequency distribution. (2) The amplitude of the shaft vibration signal and the variation rate of the phase signal of a componect, related to the shaft rotation frequency among the frequency components of the shaft vibration signal are analyzed.
