The device comprises a body (1) of which the longitudinal axis (L) is perpendicular to a shaft (2). Two turning cranks (7) are secured to the shaft (2). A stop device provided with a stop disk (8) enables to adjust the relative position of the turning cranks (7) with respect to each other by actuating a lever (28). A braking mechanism (4, 5, 10) regulates the desired energy requirements to actuate the cranks (7). According to the model, there are provided transmission wheels (6, 11) which may be actively connected to a second device of the same construction by means of transmission wheels (17). The device is particularly appropriate for therapeutic treatments comprising a combination of active and passive movements, as well as for patients confined to bed. |
