PURPOSE:To transfer a toner image to a transfer material in a good state by making an intermediate transfer body contact with a latent image carrying body only at the time of transfer. CONSTITUTION:A magnet roller having a fixed magnetic core and a non-magnetic conductive roller 20 rotating around said roller are provided so as to be rotatable, so that a color developer having an iron powder carrier and an insulating toner is fed to a photosensitive body 8. An electrostatic latent image formed on the photosensitive body 8 is developed by applying the developing bias to only one roller 20 of a developing device corresponding to a color separation filter. A toner image of each color on the photosensitive body 8, which is developed in this way is carried to a transfer position C, and a belt 22 rotating in the direction as indicated with an arrow 21 contacts with the photosensitive body 8 only at the time of transfer. Subsequently, a transfer corona discharger 27 is operated at the time of development and the toner image is transferred onto the belt 22. |
