The invention relates to a vehicle wheel with pneumatic tyres, having a rigid rim and a radial tyre with high-tensile and pressure-proof cores in the beads, in which the rim has essentially radially inwardly extending rim flanges and next to these on the inner circumference seating surfaces for the tyre, and in which the radially outer surface of the rim is constructed at least partially as a support surface for the tyre for emergency running. In order to reduce friction between tyre and the rim in the region of the seating surfaces in the case of emergency running, it is proposed to apply a lubricant coating between the rim seating face and the bead seating face of the tyre.
