PURPOSE:To prevent a steel belt from being severed in a head drive mechanism of a floppy disc apparatus by providing grooves on the drive pulley surface which comes in contact with an edge of the steel belt. CONSTITUTION:A drive pulley 1 is rotated by a stepping motor, and drives a head through a steel belt 2 which is wound on it. On the surface of the drive pulley 1 where edge sections 6-11 of steel belts 2-1, 2-2 come into contact, grooves in the circumferential direction 12-15 having a depth deeper than the hight of burrs etc. of the edge section are provided. Thus, the edge sections 6-11 directly contact the drive pulley 1 so that the steel belts 2-1, 2-2 may be prevented from being damaged by the burrs, etc. while they are continuously driven. |
