PURPOSE:To make it possible to automatically compensate for the lowered damping force in accordance with the rise in the oil temperature by utilizing the temperature characteristic of an elastic member interposed between a check valve and a valve seat. CONSTITUTION:An oil grooves 5a are provided through a piston 5 coupled to a piston rod 4. A plurality of sizings 5c are formed in ring-shaped valve seats 5b on the upper surface of the piston 5. Check valves 8 actuated by springs 7 and elastic members 9 having the same shape as check valves 8 are seated on the valve seats 5b. The elastic members 9 are softened in accordance with the increase in the oil temperature, and finally block the sizings 5c provided in the valve seats 5b. Accordingly, even when decrease in the damping force occur due to the lowering of the viscosity in accordance with the rise in the oil temperature, the flowing oil groove is narrowed and the damping force is increased. As a result, the damping force can be maintained in a constant value regardless of the oil temperature. |
