PURPOSE:To eliminate the necessity of complicated calculation of the lengths of the cross-section and as well the necessity of several record tapes recording thereon the data of tooth cutting rates, in a blade feed device in a shear-sawing device, only by setting a kind of a pipe to be cut, selecting a saw blade and as well setting the peripheral speed of the saw blade. CONSTITUTION:A specific cutting resistance selecting circuit 31 in a blade feed control device, which stores therein a plurality of specific cutting resistance values, associates with the pipe kind setting unit 32 on which a number corresponding to the kind of a pipe to be cut is set, to issue a specific cutting resistance value corresponding to the number set on the setting unit 32. By applying a signal from a saw blade selecting switch 34, a saw blade selecting circuit 33 reads out a saw tooth pitch and a tooth width which correspond to the signal. A cutting power computing circuit 35 receives a signal R indicating the specific cutting resistance value from the circuit 31, a signal V indicating the peripheral speed value of the saw blade from a setting unit 22', etc., and computes a power necessary for cutting the pipe. Thus, the necessity of complicated calculation of the length of the sectioned surface of the pipe and the necessity of several record tapes recording thereon the data of tooth cutting rates may be eliminated. |
