PURPOSE:To obtain a strong honeycomb body by providing groovelike recessed parts on the crests of a corrugated plate, making the parts of line contact with the plate to >=2, providing a linear brazing material along projected part of the flat plate on the end face of corrugation of the corrugated plate, and inserting said material into a furnace. CONSTITUTION:A corrugated plate 12 provided with groovelike recessed parts on the crests of corrugation is used. Projected parts 15 on both sides of the recessed parts 14 are brought into contact with a flat plate 11, and a stepped part (h) is provided between the end face of the flat plate 11 of one side which becomes a scrolled end face and the end face of corrugation of the corrugated plate 12, and tightened by winding so that the flat plate is projected by (h). Wire brazing materials 16, 16' are provided on the scrolled end face of one side along the projected part of the flat plate 11. This structure is fixed to a jig and inserted into a brazing furnace and heated with the end face of one side directed upward. |
