PURPOSE:To attain the automatic measurement of the surface of a body to be measured by arranging a projector and a photodetector on the axis of a robot measuring head and projecting plane light by the projector to apply periodical motion having two directional components to a photodetecting element in the photodetector. CONSTITUTION:A measuring circuit of the measuring head is provided with the projector L, the photodetector R, a power supply F(t) for driving a light source of the projector L generating a modulated electric signal, a circuit STV modulating the power supply F(t) and generating the reference voltage VS of the modulated wave, and a demodulator DM. The demodulator DM extracts the modulated signal from the output of the photodetector and outputs voltage VR proportional to the signal and a ratio measuring circuit RAT outputs VR/VS. Amplifiers, AMP1, AMP2 outputs an electric pulse when (VR/VS)-kappa>0, and outputs no signal when (VR/VS)-kappa<=0. The output pulse at the time of (VR/VS)- kappa>0 is used as a timing pulse, and during the time the photodetector R catches a bright line on an object G to be measured, VR/VS is experimentally fixed. |
