PURPOSE:To obtain a cell with little dispersion of the closed-circuit voltage and with excellent stability by sticking and forming a specific quantity of a silver (II) oxide layer on a molded positive electrode black mix using silver (II) oxide as a main active material. CONSTITUTION:A silver (II) oxide layer with a ratio of 3.0-7.5mg/cm<2> to a molded positive electrode black mix 1 is stuck and formed on the surface of the molded positive electrode black mix 1 using silver (II) oxide as a main active material. For example, 260mg of silver (II) oxide is molded to form a molded body at a pressure of 5t/cm<2>, it is immersed for 30min in a mixed liquid with a volume ratio of 9:1 between 30wt% of a caustic potash aqueous solution and ethyl alcohol, and a portion with a depth of 100mum from the surface is reduced to silver ( I ) oxide. Next, this molded positive electrode black mix is immersed in a liquid made by dissolving lead oxide PbO in 30wt% of a caustic potash aqueous solution in saturation and is processed for one hour at 20 deg.C to form the molded positive electrode black mix stuck with 5mg/cm<2> of a lead dioxide layer. A button-type silver (II) oxide cell is produced using this molded positive electrode black mix 1 in a normal method. |
