The invention forms part of the braking indication systems for vehicles. Braking is indicated by the lighting of brake lights at the rear of the vehicle. This system uses several brake lights 1, in a ramp or not, successively lighting in order to indicate the degree of braking to following vehicles. This effect is obtained by placing a switching box 3 on the brake pedal 2. These switches close successively with the travel of the brake pedal, progressively lighting the stoplights by the intermediary of the electrical fixture 4. More than a simple gadget, this system improves safety and can give rise to a novel aesthetic line, two decisive arguments in the choice of a vehicle. <IMAGE>
