PURPOSE:To practically prevent a wound core from being strained when it is being cut, by cutting the wound core which is entirely coated with a low-melting alloy firmly fixed thereto. CONSTITUTION:An amorphous magnetic alloy tape 3 is wound on a forming frame having an o-shaped planar configuration to form a base material 3'. After being subjected to a stress relief heat treatment, the base material 3' is removed from the forming frame. The surface of the base material 3' is coated with an electrical insulating resin, which is then hardened. The base material 3' is entirely coated with a molten low-melting alloy 4 and is then cooled thereby to firmly fix the alloy to the base material 3'. The alloy-coated base material is cut along the imaginary line tying for example, points P-P' or Q-Q'. Then, the alloy 4 is melted so as to be removed. By this manufacturing method, a large strain generated when the base material is cut is absorbed and dispersed by the alloy 4 and therefore is hardly applied to the wound core. Accordingly, it is possible to effect an easy and reliable cutting operation. |
