PURPOSE:To keep bonding strength of active material, increase current collecting ability, and decrease voltage drop during discharge by using a corrugated punched metal having a specified mean opening ratio. CONSTITUTION:In a sintered alkaline storage battery, a punched metal corrugated in lateral direction, having openning holes 1 and a mean opening ratio of 30-50% is esed as a core metal. The battery manufactured by this invention having a porous nickel substrate using this core metal has about 30mV high discharge voltage compared with a conventional battery as shown in the figure. |
