PURPOSE:To obtain a pleasant cooling operation by a method wherein simultaneously with the starting of the operation of an air conditioner, a temperature lower than a set thermo temperature by a predetermined temperature width and after a lapse of a predetermined period of time, a compressor is operated or stopped according to the set thermo temperature. CONSTITUTION:Room temperature TR is sensed by a thermister 11 and a relay contact 9a is closed to operate the compressor 4. At the same time, an indoor fan 1 and an outdoor fan 2 are operated and the compressor is operated until the temperature OFF point P which is lower than the set thermo temperature by the predetermined temperature width is reached. Further, a predetermined number of operations or stoppages of the compressor 4 is judged by a microcomputer 16 and the compressor 4 is thereafter operated or stopped according to a thermo set 17 so that the room temperature comes near the set thermo temperature selected by the user. The subject temperature control device is effective particularly when it is desired to cool the room immediately after one's return home or after one's taking a bath although the room temperature is low and moreover, one's health is hardly injured by a long time cooling operation since the room temperature returns to a point around the set thermo temperature about the time when one's body cools sufficiently. |
