PURPOSE:To perform the positioning of a chuck claw capable of corresponding to the work diameter in a wide range by automatically changing the fitting position of a claw under the numerical control of a machine tool. CONSTITUTION:When a chuck 3 of a numerically controlled machine tool shifts a draw bar 9 in the axial direction, a soft jaw 21 performs an expansion and shrinkage movement. By rotating a rotor 14, the lock of a base jaw 20 is released. A main shaft 2 is rotated while the chuck 3 is not used, and the rotor 14 is indexed so that its driver charging hole 14c is located at a place corresponding to a driver 16. Next, a tool box 17 is shifted and a coupler piece 24 is coupled with the groove 20c of the base jaw 20. Accordingly, the positioning of the soft jaw 21 can be performed. |
