According to the present method for drying a liquid or pasty mixture, the latter is subjected simultaneously to the action of microwaves and to the action of a centrifuge. The apparatus allowing the implementation of said method comprises a treatment vat (111) mounted rotating about a hollow shaft (112), means for rotating the vat, Archimedean screw forming means (28) intended to drive the mixture, at least one microwave generator (113, 114) and evacuation conduits for discharging dried products and vapors. The hollow guides (150) with their guiding conduits (150a, 150b, 150c), the struts (152) as well as the inner wall (127) of the vat, comprised of a material which reflects the microwaves, define a resonance box (155) for the microwaves causing the multi directional dispersion of the microwaves in the mixture. From the combined action of the centrifugation and of the microwaves results an optimum drying. Utilizations: in the pharmaceutical and food industry in laboratories, purification stations, etc... |
