PURPOSE:To disturb a flow around a pipe located at the most upstream side of the air flow to increase the heat transmission of the pipe and improve the heat transfer capacity of the heat exchanger remarkably by arranging a cylindrical member at the most upstream side of the air flow. CONSTITUTION:The cylindrical members 5 are arranged along the side rim at the most upstream side of plate fins 1 with given spaces in the direction orthogonal to the direction of the flow of air while both ends thereof are fixed to end plates after penetrating them. These cylindrical members 5 are arranged in zigzag with respect to the pipes 2a of first row. When the air is flowed into arrow sign direction A, the flows are disturbed in the downstream of the cylindrical members 5 and eddy currents, shown by the signs B, are generated. As a result, the flows around the pipes 2a of the first row are disturbed and the heat transfer capacities around the pipes are increased, thereby improving the heat transfer capacity of the heat exchanger remarkably. |
