Union fabric substantially comprises 20-30% wool, 50-70% non-flammable viscose (I), and 10-20% non-flammable polyester (II). Fabric contains 25% wool, 60% (I), 15% (II); the wool being carded. Used for working and protective clothings, also interior fittings, where non-flammability is required. Fabric is more comfortable to wear, because of wool content, than solely synthetic fabrics and less expensive than fabrics of speciality aromatic fibres. The non-flammability persists on repeated washing, unlike cotton treated with metal salts or resin solns.. solns..
