PURPOSE:To determine the optimum condition for durability, etc. of a vessel by providing a load receiving member, a pressure measuring means and a frictional force measuring means so that the pressure and frictional force to be exerted on the vessel by powder can be measured simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:The powder layer contg. granules, such as coal, contained in a vessel 1, such as a silo, exerts the pressing force in diametral outward and horizontal directions and the frictional force in the gravity direction on the inside wall 2 of the vessel. When the powder and granules of the coal, etc. are thereupon charged into the vessel 1, the granule or powder layer 4 generates the pressure forcing a load receiving member 5 outward in the diametral direction of the vessel 1. When the member 6 is pressed to move outward in the diametral direction, the pressure is detected and measured by a pressure measuring means 6. The layer 4 also generates the frictional force on the wall 2 with movement thereof in the gravity direction. The frictional force deflects an arm member 16 as the member 5 moves, via a roller bearing member 12, in the gravity direction. Said frictional force is detected and measured with a strain gage 15. |
