PURPOSE:To correct the ignition timing to its optimum corresponding to aged deterioration by gradually correcting the ignition timing to the lag angle side corresponding to the cumulative operation time of an engine or the cumulative travel distance of a car fitted with an engine. CONSTITUTION:Whether the cumulative value of an operation time cumulative timer TENG has exceeded 100hr or not is judged. When the judgement result is Yes, i.e., a time has come to correct the lag angle of the ignition timing, the operation time cumulative timer TENG is reset at step 123, and the advance angle correction quantity thetaT under a high load is delayed by 1 deg. at step 124. Accordingly, the ignition timing can be controlled in response to the aged deterioration status of an engine. |
