MAGNETIC HEAD DEVICE

PURPOSE:To ensure the stable drive of a record/reproduction head with a contact to a magnetic recording medium by having the holding means which hold the recording medium on both sides with one of both holding means attached to a supporter and the other attached to a support plate via a pedestal plate and connecting the pedestal plate to the supporter via a gimbal at three points. CONSTITUTION:The position of a block 10 can be changed by screws 13 and 14 which are attached between a fixed pedestal 12 and an upper support arm 5 put between a spring 11. For the positional relation between mobile screws 13 and 14 and a rod 15, a rod of a fixed length is set at the vertical angle position of a right-angled triangle with the screws 13 and 14 set at other two vertical angle positions respectively. The load block 10 has a contact at a point 16 with the sphere of a record/reproduction head 9, and this contact point 16 can be optionally changed in a comparatively wide range of the block 10. This facilitates greatly the control to obtain a stable output.
