A sealing sleeve (5) of a piston-cylinder arrangement (1), which sealing sleeve (5) is fastened to the piston (4), has a groove (22) at its second sealing face (18) on the front section (20) of the sealing lip (19), which groove (22) connects the pressure space (6) to the trailing space (7). A rear section (21) adjoining the front section (20) runs concentrically to and at a slight distance from the cylinder bore (2). When the piston (4) is actuated, a slight pressure builds up in the pressure space (6) on account of the very small cross-section of the groove (22), which pressure presses the ring (14) radially outwards against the cylinder bore (2) on account of the pressure difference present at the ring (14). In the process, the rear section (21) of the sealing lip (19) separates the pressure space (6) from the trailing space (7) in a pressure-tight manner. <IMAGE>
