In a seal for sanitary cold and hot water mixing valves having at least two valve plates, one valve plate which is fixed in a valve housing being provided at least as a valve seat, the through-openings of which valve plate are connected by means of elastic seals to corresponding inlet and/or outlet channels of a sanitary fitting, an integral shaped seal having two sealing lips is provided in order to achieve good sealing at low seal pretensioning forces, the sealing lips of which seal are arranged such that they are pressed essentially by the water pressure into the sealing position, one on the valve plate and the other on the sanitary fitting or other valve element. In addition, means are provided for radial support of the shaped seal.
