PURPOSE:To obtain a small-size, light-weight electronic typewriter by providing a means by which an object which can come in or out of the space wherein a carriage moves reciprocally is held at a given position within the space. CONSTITUTION:The power source 7, e.g., AC-DC convertible power source adaptor, for an electronic typewriter is housed detachably in the moving space A of a carriage 4. The power source is held through projections 7a and 7b and springs 8a and 8b on the guide rails 5a and 5b of the carriage 4 as a holding means, and when printing is made, the power source 7 is removed from the guide rail 5b by pulling it up against the force of the springs 8a and 8b and then printing operation is made. |
