PURPOSE:To make a screw tap device buildable in a small press type upon is miniaturization as well as to make it possible to perform compound machining, by unifying a holding device for a screw tap and an infeed device with a motor driving these devices as one body, and housing this unific unit in a motor rotating shaft. CONSTITUTION:A rotating shaft 2 of a motor 1 is formed into a hollow make, while a reciprocating body 3 is screwed in an internal thread part 2a of the rotating shaft 2. This reciprocating body 3 is provided with a slide fitting part 11 consisting of a rectangular parallelepipedic hole, and a swivel-stop body 10 is inserted into this slide fitting part with some play. The swivel-stop body 10 allows the reciprocating body 3 to move in a rotating axial direction, and with rotation in the reciprocating body 3 checked, torque in the motor's hollow rotating shaft 2 is converted into the axial direction. In time of normal rotation in the hollow rotating shaft 2, the reciprocating body 3 is sliding along the swivel- stop body 10 and pushes up a tap holding shaft 4 which rotates at a speed equal to that of the rotating shaft 2 whereby at that point that thread cutting for a workpiece is over, the motor 1 rotates by a signal and a tap 9 returns to its original position. |
