PURPOSE:To reduce heat loss and to prevent a heat collecting pump from sucking a gas by a method wherein steam generated in a heat collector is separated by a gas- liquid separator, flowed into an expansion tank, condensed by being made to exchange heat with the open air by using a radiator and collected in the expansion tank. CONSTITUTION:When a liquid heat medium in a heat collecting backward pipe 6 is heated to a dangerous boiling temperature during a heat collecting operation, the heat collecting pump 4 is stopped by a signal from a thermosensor 15 to thereby prevent the pump from sucking the gas. Due to the stoppage of the heat collecting pump 4, the liquid heat medium in the heat collector 1 boils to become the steam. Then the steam is separated by the gas-liquid separator 16 in the backward pipe 6, transferred to the expansion tank 9 through a steam pipe 18, condensed by being made to exchange heat with the open air through the radiator 17 and collected in the expansion tank 9. Thus, when the operation of the heat collecting pump 4 is interrupted forcibly, the steam is re-condensed and collected in the expansion tank 9 so that the quantity of the liquid heat medium is hardly reduced and the number of supplies of the liquid heat medium can be minimized. Further, it is possible to prevent an increase in the loss of heat radiation at the time of heat collecting operation and also to prevent the heat collecting pump from sucking the gas. |
