A catching apparatus for lifts, in particular lifts carried by toothed racks, at which a centrifugal regulator, having a shaft 2 rotating by means of a coupling 4 to the movement of the lift, is arranged in connection with a brake with a stationary brake part 6 and a movable brake part 8 cooperating therewith. The movable brake part is rotatable and is displaced towards and away from the stationary brake part, and is in a normal condition declutched from said shaft 2, and is thereby forced by a spring 16 in a direction towards the stationary brake part 6. The centrifugal regulator is at triggering arranged to clutch said shaft 2 to the rotatable brake part 8 for forcing this into rotation, and to a clamping device 22 for the spring 16 which is adapted to actuate the spring to press the movable brake part successively more intensely against the stationary brake part, due to the rotation of the regulator shaft. A pressure-relieving device 30 has the function of displacing, when needed, the movable brake part 8 for at least lightening the abutment of the movable brake part 8 against the stationary brake part 6 in the normal condition, against the functioning of the spring 16. The pressure-relieving device is thereby arranged such that a declutching action be initiated with said functioning being cancelled. <IMAGE> |
