PURPOSE:To minimize a gap between a webbing and an occupant by driving a holding mechanism by driving means, thereby suppressing the winding force when becoming a normal operation attitude. CONSTITUTION:When an occupant pulls out a webbing 24, a variable resistor 60 detects the pulled length and the rotating direction of a winding shaft, and the minimum pulling length l0 during the prescribed period t0 of time is stored in a controller 64. In case that the occupant slightly feeds out the webbing 24 in the small amount DELTAl or more due to the movement caused by the respiration of his stomach at the maximum winding time or later after the period t0 is elapsed when the occupant enters driving in the state that he completely wears the webbing, the controller 64 operates a solenoid 78 at the position of l0+DELTAl at the later winding time. Accordingly, a bowl 70 engages in mesh with a ratchet gear 42 to stop the rotation of a winding shaft 22 in the webbing winding direction to become the state that the webbing is restricted. |
