SUPPLY DEVICE FOR MOLTEN METAL FOR TWIN BELT CASTER

PURPOSE:To provide a supply spout for molten metal which holds stably a long projecting part of the spout by making the moment on a tundish side at the fulcrum of the supply spout for the molten metal larger than the moment in the projecting part and forming the tundish side on a down grade. CONSTITUTION:The supply of a molten metal to a twin belt caster is performed by a broad spout 3 having an edge. The tundish side 12 of the spout 3 is made heavier to make the moment on the tundish side at a fulcrum S larger than the moment in a projecting part 11. The tundish side 12 of the spout 3 is formed to the shape having a down grade 10 so that said side is pressed by the molten metal. If the spout is formed in such a shape, the spout having the long projecting part 11 is stable and does not require any stopper fixture and therefore the strain of the spout is lessened and the life is extended.
