[Also in Division F2] A bearing assembly comprises a split housing 2 containing and circumferentially and axially supporting a resilient bush 6 of arcuate portions 8, 10 of different resilience, and the bush containing and circumferentially and axially supporting a member 18 containing bearing 20. Bush 6 has flanges 30, 30a, 32, 32a preventing rotation, and has annular grooves in its outer surface to facilitate deformation. One portion of the bush is of butyl rubber. Passages may be provided in member 18 and an outer race of the bearing for lubrication. |
