PURPOSE:To obtain an output picture which has the good reproducibility of slanting lines and the good keeping quality of minimum line width by adding the reference pattern of a corresponding area in an input picture to a limited area in an output picture which contains specific output picture elements. CONSTITUTION:Picture data inputted from a terminal 1 is sent successively to an input buffer 2 synchronously with a clock from a clock generator 7. This input buffer outputs data on picture elements at the same positions on three connected lines to a reference register 3 of (3X3)-bit constitution. A black/white decision on the center aimed picture element in the reference register 3 is made by a table circuit 4, whose pattern decision result is sent to a memory control circuit 5. Then, a storage address for a pattern to be written in an output buffer 11 is specified by the pattern decision result from the table circuit 4 and outputs of counters 9 and 10 to access a memory 6, thereby reading it written pattern to an output buffer 11. |
