In an air humidifying device having a lower housing portion receiving the water, a fan arranged in the upper housing portion, and at least one disc roller which dips into the water and transports the water which wets and thus adheres to it into the housing upper portion through which air flows, a single drive motor is provided for the fan and the disc roller, the torque being transmitted via friction discs. The resulting space-saving and cost-effective construction of the device is further improved in that a second disc roller is arranged parallel to the first disc roller and both disc rollers are in frictional connection with a friction roller abutting their peripheries, so that the torque of the drive motor is also transmitted to the second disc roller.
