<p>PURPOSE:To smooth start and acceleration by providing a damper where resistance will function only in the direction for coupling a clutch thereby loosening clutch. CONSTITUTION:Upon turning of lever 3 to position 3A, a clutch arm 6 and clutch lever 9 will rotate to roll a release lever 13 around a shaft 131 through a spring 10 and cable 11 thus to disconnect a clutch 12. Here a damper arm 14 is turned together with the clutch lever 9 to compress the damper 15 but it causes no resistance. Upon removal of hand from the lever 3, the lever 3 will rise automatically through function of clutch spring 121, release lever return spring 27, etc. to enter into lateral groove at selected speed change position while to couple the clutch 12. Here the damper arm 14 will return integrally but since resistance will function upon expansion of damper 15, the clutch is coupled slowly.</p> |
