PURPOSE:To select a titled sheet without giving a discomfort feeling on the visual and auditory senses to a user, by displacing and exposing in one direction each titled sheet contained in a cassette, detecting a page display, and taking out a desired sheet from the cassette. CONSTITUTION:When a page of a sheet is designated by a page selecting key, a pinch roll 19 is rotated counterclockwise by a rotation of a motor 25, a titled sheet 7 in a cassette 6 is displaced by one sheet each in the direction as indicated with an arrow, and the front end part of its upper sheet is exposed to the upper side. Subsequently, by a command of a controlling circuit, the pinch roll 19 is rotated counterclockwise, by which the sheet 7 is moved backward one after another, and the front end part is displayed. As a result, a page detector 26 reads a page display part printed on the front end part of each sheet 7, and rotates the roll 19 until the sheet 7 of a prescribed page comes. In this state, when the page display part of the sheet 7 of the prescribed page is read, a pinch roll 18 is rotated clockwise, and the prescribed sheet 7 is fed out to the outside of the cassette 6. |
