<p>To purify a gas stream from vapour-form or gaseous impurities in a two-layer or multi-layer sorption filter with the lowest possible energy consumption, the gas stream to be purified is passed through the sorption medium layers connected together in parallel, until the sorption medium layers are exhausted. To recover their absorption capacity, the sorption medium layers are regenerated, a gaseous desorption agent passing through the sorption medium layers connected together in series. It is particularly advantageous, as the desorption proceeds, to remove initially the first, then the second layer and so on from the desorption agent circulation. The process can be carried out in a corresponding manner for the cooling following the desorption.</p> |
