PURPOSE:To obtain high-quality ink jet recording with regulation of deflection amount by a method in which an exciting voltage for formation of optimum ink particles is detected and set by an charged ink particles detector and a charge detection and processing circuit. CONSTITUTION:A deflection voltage power source circuit 42 is turned on by a micro computer 45, charging code Scc of maximum deflection sep is set in a print charge voltage generator 40, and amplifying gain of an exciting voltage generator 39 is set at the lowest. Reference is made to the output of the charge detection circuit 43 for every 10m sec, and the exciting and amplifying gain is increasingly repeated until the output value becomes zeroed to obtain an exciting voltage amplifying gain to be the central value of optimum particle-forming exciting voltage. In the same way, while varying charge code Scc, gain code to the print charge voltage generator 40 is obtained to regulate the deflection amounts. Very high-quality ink jet recording can thus be obtained. |
