PURPOSE:To provide a meltable plug which is easy to be manufactured and assembled and is capable of detecting the temperature and pressure by installing a plug made of an alloy having a low melting point in a pipe, and incorporating a device behind the plug which is movable by a specified pressure in the direction of the fluid flow. CONSTITUTION:The meltable plug body 1 is provided with pipe connecting parts in two directions in one of which pressure regulating hardware 5 is screwed. A plug 2 made of an alloy having a low melting point is inserted into the other pipe connecting part and is held in position by a ring-like locking hardware 6. A spring retainer 4 having a spring 3 is interposed between the plug 2 and the pressure regulating hardware 5. By this constitution, the fluid is always in contact with the plug 2, and when a fluid that can melt the plug 2 such as a fluid at a specified temperature flows into, the plug 2 begins melting. And, the fluid becomes in contact with the head of the spring retainer 4 to open the passage when the fluid pressure exceeds the setting pressure of the spring 3 to allow the fluid to flows out of the other pipe connecting part. |
