The invention relates to an autoclave chamber for treating textile materials, particularly for operations of bleaching or dyeing. According to the invention, the chamber 1 is divided by a wall 10 into a compartment 11 for treating the material 3 and an expansion compartment 12 into which excess fluid 13 from the first compartment is sent. In addition, an injection pump 14 draws the liquid 16 from the expansion compartment 12 and sends it back into the treatment compartment 11.
