In my invention, an LED display is installed for each load point at a visible location. As long as the circuit is not interrupted, the LED display is illuminated. If, in contrast, the circuit is interrupted by a defective lamp, the LED display is extinguished. This makes it possible to check at any time whether a lamp is defective. My invention is interposed into new or existing electrical installations. Each lamp has an LED warning display. Two circuit examples for a load point of 5 watts and 21 watts are attached to the invention. In the case of 21-W lamps, resistors of 47 ohms are interposed and in the case of 5-W lamps, resistors of 36 ohms are interposed, see circuit diagram example. The invention can also be used if other load points are required. It is only necessary to use different resistors. The particular field of application are car lamps which are difficult to check but are very important for safety, for example brake lights, tail lights, flashing lights front and rear. Naturally, the invention can also be used for other checks. <IMAGE>
