LASER RADIATION APPARATUS

Laser irradiating apparatus comprises a plurality of laser sources 2 and 3 for beams of different wavelengths and a guide beam source 4 for a beam of visible light. The sources are mounted on a support plate 101 of a support stand 1 located within a housing 12 such that the beams are all parallel to and equi-distant from the plate 101. The beams from sources 3 and 4 are mixed in mixer 7, and the resultant beam 402 is passed to a mixer 6 where that beam may be mixed with a beam 201 from source 2. The output of mixer 6 is passed to a light guide 10 to permit direction of the mixed laser beam on to a part to be irradiated. A change-over means 8 permits the direction of beam 402 into a fibre light guide 11, or instead a further beam 501 from another guide beam source may be fed into that guide 11. The laser sources may selectively be operated to permit optimum treatment of an area to be irradiated.
