PURPOSE:To lengthen the time used for an operation, by making an interrupt period shorter than a usual period, when a key input has been detected, in that which executes a key input processing by applying periodically an interruption. CONSTITUTION:Usually, a flip-flop (FF) 13 is '0', and an interrupt generating signal is in an 8m second period. When an output is provided to a key inputting circuit 3, information is stored in KO and KI registers 9C, 9D in a RAM 9, and a control part 5 sets an output of the FF 13 to '1', and sets an interrupt period to 1m second. When the same key input has been executed continuously five times, a key data is read, and this time, in order to detect a fact that the key has been separated, an initial value is set to a chatter counter, and the interrupt period is returned to its original period. When there is no key input, or when it is different from that of the previous time, the interrupt period is returned to its original period immediately.
