The circumferential length of the toothed inner face (8) is intended to be at least as large as the circumferential length (6) of the unformed surface part. The toothed inner configuration (8) of the drawing die (7) leads to a corrugation of the material during the diameter reduction brought about in the drawing operation and thereby prevents uncontrolled fold formation.
