PURPOSE:To prevent misconvergence and improve a focusing characteristic by composing the captioned device with a shadow mask for color discrimination, a phosphor screen opposing thereto and a deflection yoke generating a pincushion magnetic field and a barrel magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:A shadow mask 8 for color discrimination is arranged opposing to a phosphor screen 2 while the relationship between a deflection yoke which generates a strong pincushion magnetic field for horizontal deflection and a strong barrel magnetic field for vertical deflection crossing orthogonally thereto respectively, and the electron beams 6 is so made that only two neighboring electron beam in the electron gun arrangement, for instance, 6G and 6R may be converged. Accordingly, merely the amount SB ought to be converged. Thereby, misconvergence can be excluded thus obtaining a good focusing characteristic. |
